Classroom Desks

Classroom Desks

Whether you need desks for a preschool or college, you will have many different options to choose from. This guide will help you to make the right decision.

for a preschool or college, you will have many different options to choose from. This guide will help you to make the right decision.

Height:

Just like seats, desks need to cater to students of all sizes. Our range of sizes accommodates everyone from kindergartners to college/university students. It is imperative to student’s comfort to have the right size desk. Furthermore, some of our desks have tubular steel frames that are adjustable. These desks will be able to accommodate students of all ages.

Base:

Like chairs, the base of your desks will greatly depend on what type of classroom it is for and also what type of floors your classrooms have. We carry desks with four legs that are appropriate for classrooms with hard floors and desks with sled bases that work well in classrooms with carpeting.

Group Compatibility:

The following options ought to be considered regarding whether you want your students to learn cooperatively or independently: double desks, by which students can be organized into partners; trapezoidal desks that can be joined together to form hexagons or octagons; or individual desks (some with an enlarged surface to fit a laptop and textbook) to promote self sufficiency.

Book Storage:

It is important for desks to be able to accommodate students and their school materials. Our desks have three different types of book storage:

Book Rack: Under desk wire book racks are good for students who will just be storing books and notebooks. Since these are wire, pencils and pens can not be stored here.
Lift Top Book Box: If your students are going to be storing lots of school materials in their desks then a lift top book box is the right choice. This book storage option has the most room for school supplies.
Open Front Book Box: If convenience is your top priority, then an open front book box is the right choice for you. Students can have easy access to all of their school supplies without having to remove the objects on top of their desks.

Durability:

We are aware that kids can be pretty brutal to their desks. To counter this problem, we sell desks, whose frames are constructed of either tubular or full-chrome steel that won’t bend or dent, and whose tops are high-pressure durable laminate or hard-plastic that won’t scratch and are easy to clean.

Chair Desks

A popular choice for schools is the chair desk. This will eliminate the task of choosing chairs that match your desks. You will never have to worry about not having enough chairs for your desks again.

. This will eliminate the task of choosing chairs that match your desks. You will never have to worry about not having enough chairs for your desks again.

Base:

Like chairs and desks, our chair desks come with two types of bases: four legs and sled. Four legged chair desks are designed for classrooms for hard floors and sled base chair desks are designed for classrooms with carpeting.

Arm Configuration:

Obviously, not all students write with one hand. This is why we offer desks that are designed for both left-handed and right-handed students.

Classroom Chairs

Classroom Chairs

Whether these chairs are intended for preschoolers or premed students, the following details and features are of the utmost importance:

Height:

Let’s start with the obvious: college/university students shouldn’t be squeezed into something designed for someone less than half their age, and kindergartners shouldn’t be overwhelmed by extremely large seats. The range of sizes in our collection can accommodate the young and old alike, and some of our seats are adjustable and thus capable of suiting all ages and sizes.

Though every classroom should anticipate students of all heights, we have provided the following graph to aid you in determining the sizes, to which certain age groups correspond.

Style:

Next to comfort, it is important to consider what you want your classroom to look like. We carry a variety of different styles of chairs including:

Standard: These chairs will be basic chairs that are seen most often in classrooms. If you are searching for a classic chair that will withstand the rigorous use from students, then a standard chair will work great for you.
Stacking: If your classroom is going to continually be rearranged then you will need a chair that is easily moved. Stacking chairs can be neatly stacked and stored away or moved.
Shell: Students will be sitting in classroom chairs all day, so their comfort should be a great concern. Shell chairs are generally constructed of a softer plastic and are designed to fit the student’s body for more comfort then standard chairs.
Swivel: Sometimes you need students to be able to look in all different areas of the classroom. Great for computer rooms or art labs, swivel chairs will allow students to turn their chair in which ever direction is needed.
Teacher: We carry many teachers’ chairs that will complement your students’ chairs. Our variety of teacher chairs has features such as casters, swivel, and padding.

Base:

The base of your chair will greatly depend on what type of classroom it is for, and also what type of floors your classrooms have. We offer 3 different types of bases:

Four Legs: If your classroom has wood or tile floors then a standard four legged chair will work for you. Most four-legged chairs will come with swivel feet that allow the chairs to slide easily on your floors.

Sled Base: For classrooms with carpet, sled base chairs are the best. The design of the base allows the chairs to slide easily on carpet.

Casters: Chairs with casters are mostly used in computer and art labs. These chairs are better for older students that won’t be tempted to create an annoyance by rolling around.

Construction & Durability:

We understand the heavy toll students (especially children) take on furniture. To counter this, we sell products of only the highest quality materials. Most of our chairs are made of either heavy gauge tubular steel or sturdy hardwood with hard or soft plastic seats.
